Gentle support through sound
1:1 Sound Therapy is a very gentle way for you to support yourself. If you have been struggling with grief, feeling a bit overwhelmed with everything, finding it hard to get to sleep, or if you have emotions that you can't work through, sound can really help.
A sound therapy session isn't talking therapy. There is no need to talk through anything or share anything. All we do is use very gentle reflective techniques to help you notice what is happening in your body, your thoughts and your emotions.
I then play instruments in specific ways to help to guide you into a deeply relaxed state - in between sleep and being awake. When we are in this restful state, other parts of our brain start to work, and we can begin to process these thoughts, feelings and emotions.
At the end we will have another check in and notice any shifts that may have happened. Sometimes one session is enough, sometimes it can take a couple more. Each session is focussed around you, and every one is different, depending on what it is you need at the time.
