What to expect

Sessions takes place in a quiet, dedicated treatment room in Bishop’s Stortford.

You’ll lie comfortably on a therapy couch, surrounded by instruments such as crystal bowls, Himalayan bowls, gongs, and monochord. Soft lighting, warmth, and stillness allow your body to begin unwinding from the moment you arrive.

Sessions can be experienced individually or shared with someone else, offering a simple way to relax together.

As the session begins, sound is introduced in a structured, intentional way. The body naturally starts to respond, often shifting into a slower, more regulated state. Many people notice changes in breathing, muscle tension, and mental activity without needing to actively “try” to relax.

There is nothing you need to do during the session, and no expectation to share anything before or after. This is your time to rest.

Each session is 45 minutes, offering a focused and effective way to step out of stress and give your system space to reset.

Crystal singing bowls sound experience for deep relaxation

Crystal Bowl Sound Bath Experience
£50 for solos, £90 for duos

Best for: calming a busy mind, deep relaxation and switching off

A relaxing sound bath using crystal singing bowls, filling the room with soft, layered tones and gentle vibration.

This one's great if your mind never seems to switch off, or you often feel overstimulated and just need to slow down. The lighter, clear tones of the crystal bowls help you settle into a calmer state - you don't need to do anything, just lie back and let it happen.

Available as a session for one or two people, at Sound Therapy Studio in Bishop's Stortford.

Himalayan Singing Bowl Sound Bath Experience
£50 for solos

Best for: grounding, deep relaxation and full-body calm

Our gentlest session. This one starts with a Himalayan bowl massage. The bowls are played gently on your body, so you feel the vibration directly. Then the bowls are played around you for a sound bath, filling the room with rich, soothing tones.

The heavier, earthier sound of these bowls makes for a slower, deeply settling experience, especially good if you're feeling overwhelmed, physically tense, or just emotionally worn out.

By the end, you'll have felt the vibration both directly on the body and all around you, leaving you in a deep sense of stillness and calm.

Himalayan bowls sound session for relaxation and nervous system support
Monochord sound experience for calming the nervous system

Monochord Sound Bath Experience
£50 for solos, £90 for duos

Best for: deep stillness, calming an overactive mind and quieting mental overstimulation

A calming sound bath using the monochord, a multi-stringed instrument that creates soft, continuous, drone-like tones.

This one's especially good for a stressed or overactive mind. The steady, layered sound wraps around you like a blanket, helping stop your thoughts spiralling and gently pulling your mind out of overdrive.

It's particularly suited to anyone feeling mentally overloaded, emotionally exhausted, or just in need of deep rest and stillness.

Available as a session for one or two people, at Sound Therapy Studio in Bishop's Stortford.

Gongbath Sound Experience
£50 for solos, £90 for duos

Best for: deep release, easing physical tension. switching off

A powerful sound bath using gongs, filling the room with deep, resonant waves of sound.

This one's especially good if you're carrying physical tension, aches, or pain in the body. The strong, sweeping sound works almost like a wave, helping tight muscles and tense areas properly let go.

It's a bigger, more intense sound than the bowls or monochord — some people find it a bit more energising, though it still leaves you feeling deeply relaxed by the end.

Available as a session for one or two people, at Sound Therapy Studio in Bishop's Stortford.
