A gentle place to begin

The First Shift is a personalised 1:1 sound therapy session designed to help you slow down and step out of the constant noise of everyday life.

Using carefully applied sound and gentle guided reflection, sessions support the nervous system in moving from a state of stress and mental overload into one of greater calm, clarity and regulation.

This work is not about analysing or forcing change. Instead, it creates the conditions for the body and mind to settle naturally, allowing space for rest, awareness and a different perspective to emerge.

When life feels too loud

Stress does not always look dramatic. Sometimes it shows up as constant thinking, difficulty relaxing, emotional overwhelm, tension in the body or feeling stuck in a state of mental noise that never fully switches off.

Over time, this can leave the nervous system feeling constantly alert, even during moments of rest.

The First Shift is designed to help interrupt that cycle gently by giving the body and mind an opportunity to slow down and settle in a safe, supportive environment.

What to expect

Each session begins with a gentle check-in and space to talk about how things have been feeling for you recently. This is not traditional talk therapy and there is no pressure to explain or analyse everything.

The reflective element simply helps bring awareness to what feels most present for you in that moment. You will then lie back and settle into the sound therapy portion of the session.

Many people leave feeling calmer, lighter and more grounded, often noticing a quieter mind, softer breathing and a greater sense of emotional space.
